2D Sports has announced Louisiana Tech as the host of their second annual Summer Showcase, which will be held at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park on August 6 and 7.

The Summer Showcase is open to players graduating in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Nearly 20 colleges have already committed to taking part in the showcase and will be introduced to players on Saturday morning before the scouting combine. Following, a presentation will be given by a member of the Louisiana Tech coaching staff.

Scouts from the Atlanta Braves, Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Braves are scheduled to be in attendance, with others potentially joining. 

The event will kick off on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. with a scouting combine. Pitchers will throw bullpens, while position players with take part in a 60 yard dash, shuttle, defensive drills and batting practice.

On Sunday, players will participate in a showcase game that is scheduled for 9 a.m.

The registration cost is $199 for pitchers, $229 for position players and $259 for a combination of both.
