The draft-day cap that seemingly never left Buddy Hield‘s head in the days after he was selected sixth overall by the New Orleans Pelicanswas gone by the time he sauntered over from his first summer league practice. But he did drape his practice jersey around his neck like a cape. The symbolism wasn’t lost on him, either.
“I’m about to save New Orleans,” Hield said.
